Peace is in The Balance!

Posted by: Laina Orlando on 8/31/2010

A few days ago, while traveling in mid-air,
halfway between heaven and earth,
I enjoyed a delicious insight; Life is always in perfect balance!
Yin and Yang.
If we go too far one way, life brings us back to center.
Perfect equilibrium.
Always.
All needs are met in divine order.
There is no exception in the macrocosm.
Now, let’s peak into the microcosm.

Ken and I share the dream of traveling the world.
We love what we do, and are rewarded financially by those who benefit from our work.
Our work requires travel…one dream is realized.
Life is good!

Today we travel.
We need a way to transport our belongings.
Thank you, Samsonite.
We pack.

We need to go to the airport.
Our car takes us there.
Nice ride.
We drive.

The parking lot provides service for a fee.
We gladly provide a fee for that service.
It’s a beautiful day.
We park.

Ken and I arrived at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
We desire to travel safely.
Thanks to terrorist, security personnel conduct safety checks.
We go through metal detectors…I like the sound of silence.

We expect first class service and are willing to pay for it.
The Delta Crown room offers us comfort and happily charges us for it.
We enjoy snacks and drink a plenty.
Everybody wins = Harmony!

The plane is being cared for and prepared for our flight.
By people who care about getting planes ready to fly.
I am grateful for the mechanics.
We experience trust.

We desire to fly on a specific date and time.
Flight takes off on the appointed day, after a slight delay.
We are offered champagne for the inconvenience.
Delay+champagne = Balance!

We desire to fly to Vancouver
where my beloved continues to earn a living.
A crew, who earns their living flying folks, takes us to Vancouver.
I appreciate capitalism.

I am grateful for the Wright brothers.
We fly.
We land.
Perfect balance!

I need a bathroom break.
Toilet paper is stocked.
I thank the cleaning lady.
Life is good.

We desire friendly and efficient ground transportation.
We attract a friendly person who loves to transport people.
We ride to our temporary home.
Nice drive.

We have reservations at the Fairmont.
A room is ready for us.
It has a lovely ocean view.
We unpack.

Ken goes to work.
I explore Vancouver.
People are so friendly.
I love my life!

One day we dine on surf and the next we choose turf.
Yesterday was warm, dry and sunny.
Today, it’s cold, wet and cloudy.
nature is perfect.

I used to focus on what was missing.
I now focus on life’s generous abundance.
I am grateful for the contrast.
I was blind and now I see.

Our earth is suspended in black space.
I surrender to perfection.
All is well with my soul.
Peace is in the Balance.

My life is fun and easy.

    • Wow, I really never thought of it that way. Everything from TP to champagne to a place to park our car is provided for us. Thank you for showing me contrast!:)
